About Us

Shamtrubea Rottweilers was established after the arrival of Kenzie (Stairvale Bite The Bullet to Shamtrubea) in 2004, although he was not my first rottweiler.

I had Shamus, Bear and Truffle several years before him, and it was through them my love for this wonderful and loyal breed began. As you can see, these three wonderful animals so impressed me I decided to dedicate my kennel name to them. SHAM from Shamus, TRU from Truffle and BEA from Bear, and in 2005 the Kennel Club granted me the affix

This is also the home of Lilly and Beattie.

Lilly is a bullmastiff and Beattie is a German Shepherd, they are both in their senior years, Lilly having taken on the roll as adopted mother to the younger dogs, and Beattie is very much the guardian and protector of the pack.

In 2006 we had two additions to our little happy band, Vegas (Duntarvie Nevada at Shamtrubea)

and Venus (Duntarvie Devoted to Shamtrubea)

Later in 2006 we had another happy addition to our home, Von joined us after many months of trying to pursued her owner Janet that she was my true soul mate. My adventure with Von came as a bit of a surprise, we were at a Championship show and Janet was delayed in another ring with Eve her Dogue De Bordeaux and was going to miss Vons class, I offered to take her in and do the best I could for her as I had never handled her in the ring before. We seemed to click and both of us enjoyed our first time in the ring together winning a very good limit bitch class. After that I asked if I could handle Von at some other shows and Janet agreed. This culminated in us winning the bitch CC and Best in Show at the Scottish Rottweiler Club 25th Anniversary CH show. what a day for both of us, I was delighted. Soon after that Janet agreed Von could come to live with us. She is an absolute darling of a girl and has given me so much pleasure
